안녕하세요, KGSA 학우 여러분,
작년 가을 피크닉 이후로 처음 인사드립니다.
2013년 힘차게 시작하셨나요? :)
올 한 해 알차고 즐겁게 보내시길, 연구에 많은 성과 있으시길 바랍니다.
그런 의미에서 KGSA에서 뜻깊은 자리를 준비하고 있습니다.
제목에서 보시다시피 UMD 학생들의 학술제, Symposium을 개최하려고 합니다.
먼 타국에 나와서 학문을 하고 있는 멋진 학우 여러분들이 서로의 연구에 힘을 실어주고 끈끈한 networking을 할 수 있는 기회가 되리라 생각합니다.
너무 감사하게도 전자과에 계신 김영욱 학우님께서 이번 Symposium의 chair로 일해주신다 하셨습니다.
아래는 KGSA UMD Symposium 첫번째 Chair께서 작성하신 이번 학술제 개요입니다.

2013 Spring KGSA UMD Symposium
March 30th, 2013, College Park, MD
목적
메릴랜드 대학교에 재학 중인 한인 학생 간 학술 교류를 통해서 동문들의 네트워크를 형성하고, 다양한 분야의 연구 활동 공유로 각자의 연구 활동 증진과 애교심 향상을 목적으로 매 학기 학술대회를 개최하고자 합니다.
자격 (presentation)
메릴랜드 대학교 학부, 대학원 학생/박사후 연구원 등
행사개요
- 학교 내 행사 - 장소: Kim building Lecture Hall (#1110)
- 3월 30일 토요일 오후 행사 (1 pm – 6 pm)
- 행사 참석 대상: UMD 소속의 가족분들도 대환영, 참여하신 분들께 추첨을 통하여 소정의 선물을 지급합니다.
- 발표형식: Oral & Poster presentations (English)
(발표는 누구나 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 하는 것이 목적입니다. Oral Presentation은 10분입니다.)
초록접수(abstract submission)
- 3월 23일 까지 첨부된 형식의 1 페이지 초록 접수 (email submission, only word file)
(No figures and graphs),
- 초록 제출 이메일: umdsymposium@gmail.com
- 별도의 심사없이 제출된 초록은 모두 발표하게 됩니다. 발표자 모두에게 소정의 선물을 지급합니다.
- 발표 형식 (Oral/Poster)은 선택하실 수 있으나, Oral presentation의 spot이 한정되어있는 관계로 Poster로 바뀔 수 있습니다. 초록 제출시 원하는 형식을 적어주십시오.
- 행사당일 제출된 초록은 출력되어 참석자들에게 배포됩니다.
시상
- Best oral presenters (복수의 수상자)
- Best poster presenters (복수의 수상자)
- 상장과 함께 소정의 상금 or 상품이 지급될 예정입니다.
- 평가기준: 청중 평가단 설문 점수 (70%) + Technical Committee (30%)

3:10 pm – 4:00 pm: Oral presentation 9-12
Poster Presentation
4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Break and poster presentation
Panel Discussion (Mentor & Mentee Program)
5:00 pm – 5:40 pm: Symposium discussion and Q&A for career development/research (school) life
Closing
5:40 pm – 5:50 pm: Award ceremony
5:50 pm – 6:00 pm: Closing the symposium

참가자의 복장이나 Oral/Poster의 포맷이나 Oral의 슬라이드 매수나 폰트 등의 제한은 없는지요? |

| 모두 자유 포맷입니다. 프리젠테이션은 10분 정도로만 계획하시면 됩니다. 포스터는 역시 자유형식입니다.
