Greetings,
The 3rd annual UTOPIA Film Festival will be held in Greenbelt on
Saturday and Sunday, October 27 - 28. Included in the 40 hours of
content, one powerful film, Behind Forgotten Eyes, should be of
particular interest to members of the Korean Graduate Student
Association at the University of Maryland. Below is a brief
description of this work, and directions to historic Roosevelt Center
in Greenbelt. For further information about the other films that will

Behind Forgotten Eyes

Documentary, 76 Minutes
During World War II, more than 200,000 Korean women were taken into
sexual slavery as "Comfort Women" for the Japanese Army. A half
century later, some of these women are speaking out for the first time
about a past that some would like to stay buried. The film is
narrated by LOST's Yunjin Kim.
Screening Sunday, October 28 at 4:00 pm at the Greenbelt Municipal Building

Road/Route 193. Make a right on to Southway Road. Continue straight
ahead to Greenbelt's historic center.
